Role Summary

We are looking for a Business Development Executive with a Civil Engineering background to drive business growth for our subcontracting company. The role involves generating new project leads, building partnerships with contractors/consultants, and strengthening the company’s market presence in the UAE construction sector.

Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development & Client Acquisition

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities with main contractors, consultants, developers, and clients.
• Build long-term relationships to secure subcontracting works (civil, structural, finishing, etc.)
• Research ongoing and upcoming projects in the UAE market.
• Attend client meetings, site visits, and technical discussions.
• Prepare and submit company profiles, capability statements, and pre-qualification documents.

Tendering & Coordination

• Coordinate with the estimation team for tender proposals and pricing.
• Follow up on submitted quotations and tender results with clients/contractors.
• Review project drawings, BOQs, and specifications to support technical discussions.
• Track project progress, deadlines, and client requirements.

Market Research & Strategy

• Monitor market trends, competitors, and pricing strategies.
• Develop business development plans to meet targets and company objectives.
• Identify gaps and opportunities to expand services within the subcontracting sector.

Client Relationship Management

• Maintain strong communication with existing clients to ensure repeat business.
• Resolve client concerns and support project execution coordination when needed.
• Represent the company at networking events, exhibitions, and industry gatherings.

Reporting

• Prepare weekly and monthly BD reports, including new leads, follow-ups, and market updates.
• Present progress updates and sales forecasts to management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory).
• 2–5 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Technical Coordination within the UAE construction industry.
• Strong understanding of civil works, subcontracting processes, and construction project cycles.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to build relationships with consultants, contractors, and developers.
• Valid UAE driving license (preferred).
• Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of CRM tools is a plus.

Preferred Skills

• Strong network within the UAE construction industry.
• Knowledge of estimation, tendering, and contract procedures.
• Ability to work independently and meet targets.
• Good technical understanding of drawings, site processes, and construction activities.
