Business Development Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a Business Development professional with a strong foundation in Public Health and exposure to Mental/Behavioral Health, to support our US-based operations.

This role is ideal for someone who can translate public health challenges into business opportunities, particularly in areas like population health, preventive care, and mental health integration. You will work closely with US clients, healthcare organizations, and internal teams to drive growth and impact.

Key Responsibilities:1. Business Development & Growth

  • Identify and pursue opportunities in US public health, healthcare, and behavioral health sectors
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline across:
  • Public health agencies
  • NGOs and global health programs
  • Healthcare providers and digital health companies
  • Own the BD lifecycle: lead generation → qualification → proposals → closing

2. Public Health-Focused Market Development (Core Focus)

  • Leverage public health knowledge to identify opportunities in:
  • Population health management
  • Preventive care and screening programs
  • Health systems strengthening
  • Community health and outreach models
  • Align solutions with public health priorities (access, equity, outcomes)
  • Stay updated on US healthcare policies, funding trends, and public health initiatives

3. Mental Health Integration (Supporting Focus)

  • Identify opportunities where mental health intersects with public health, such as:
  • Integration of behavioral health into primary care
  • Community-based mental health programs
  • Tele-mental health and access expansion
  • Workplace and population mental wellness initiatives
  • Support development of mental health-related proposals and solutions

4. Client Engagement & Relationship Management

  • Act as a key point of contact for US-based clients
  • Conduct discovery calls, presentations, and solution discussions
  • Build long-term relationships with:
  • Public health leaders
  • Healthcare providers
  • Behavioral health stakeholders

5. Proposal Development & Strategy

  • Develop and contribute to:
  • Proposals, RFP responses, and pitch decks
  • Public health and mental health program concepts
  • Collaborate with technical teams to design evidence-based solutions
  • Support grant or donor-funded proposals where relevant

6. CRM, Outreach & Lead Generation

  • Use tools including:
  • LinkedIn (Sales Navigator, outreach, networking)
  • CRM platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Email automation tools (Apollo, Lemlist, etc.)
  • Build targeted prospect lists for US public health and healthcare markets
  • Track leads, manage pipeline, and optimize outreach strategies

7. Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work with product, research, clinical, and data teams
  • Provide insights from US public health and healthcare markets
  • Align BD efforts with organizational growth and impact goals

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in:
  • Public Health (MPH strongly preferred)
  • Global Health, Health Policy, Epidemiology, or related field
  • 2–5+ years of experience in:
  • Business Development / Partnerships / Sales
  • Preferably in public health, healthcare, or health tech

Preferred Experience:

  • Exposure to mental/behavioral health programs or solutions
  • Experience working with US clients or healthcare systems
  • Familiarity with:
  • Public health programs and funding structures
  • US healthcare ecosystem (providers, payers, public health agencies)
  • Experience using LinkedIn and CRM tools for B2B outreach

Key Skills:

  • Strong grounding in public health concepts and frameworks
  • Ability to connect health impact with business strategy
  • Excellent communication, proposal writing, and presentation skills
  • Strong networking and stakeholder management abilities
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and digital outreach (LinkedIn, email tools)
  • Ability to work independently in US time zones
