Join a growing e‑waste and IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) organization where your business development expertise directly supports secure technology lifecycle management and environmental sustainability. As our Business Development Manager for the Wisconsin and Illinois region, you will lead new customer acquisition efforts, develop strategic sales campaigns, and collaborate across teams to deliver value‑driven solutions that help organizations responsibly manage their end‑of‑life technology—while hitting ambitious growth targets.

Key Attributes of a Qualified Business Development Manager – E‑Waste & ITAD

Sales & Business Development Expertise

  • Proven success developing new business and driving revenue growth through proactive prospecting and structured sales campaigns.
  • Strong ability to identify, qualify, and advance sales opportunities through the full sales lifecycle.
  • Experience pitching service-based solutions, with the ability to clearly articulate value propositions and pricing.

Account & Relationship Management

  • Demonstrated skill in building and sustaining long‑term customer relationships with decision-makers and influencers.
  • Ability to uncover customer needs and cross‑sell multiple services within complex accounts.
  • Tactical approach to account management, including next‑step planning and follow‑through.

Industry & Solutions Orientation (Preferred for ITAD/E‑Waste)

  • Comfort operating in a technical, compliance‑driven services environment, such as IT asset disposition, electronics recycling, or regulated services.
  • Ability to collaborate with operations, logistics, and product teams to address non‑standard customer requirements.

CRM & Sales Process Discipline

  • Advanced proficiency using CRM systems to manage pipelines, document activity, and report on opportunity status.
  • Strong understanding of structured sales methodologies, including opportunity staging and forecasting.

Communication & Influence

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
  • Confident presenter capable of persuading prospective customers and addressing objections professionally.
  • Effective communicator with both internal leadership and customer management teams.

Strategic & Tactical Thinking

  • Ability to assist with market segmentation, campaign development, and targeted outreach strategies.
  • Skilled at adjusting sales tactics and scripts based on customer profiles, market conditions, and feedback.
  • Continuous improvement mindset—able to identify and recommend process enhancements.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Strong team orientation; works effectively with sales peers, customer service, plant operations, logistics, and finance.
  • Willingness to mentor and support colleagues, sharing specialized knowledge or best practices.

Organizational & Time Management Skills

  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet changing demands.
  • Self‑directed and accountable for meeting defined sales objectives and revenue budgets.

Technology & Tools

  • Advanced user of CRM platforms.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook (Access knowledge a plus).

Education & Experience

  • Minimum five (5) years of professional sales experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; four‑year degree in sales or marketing preferred.

Work Style & Requirements

  • Comfortable with remote office‑based work and URT site visits and telephone‑driven sales activity.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet business development objectives (typically minimal).

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
