We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead growth initiatives, establish referral partnerships, and expand our footprint across healthcare, community, and payer networks.
Position Overview
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving organizational growth through strategic partnerships, referral development, community outreach, and market expansion. This role requires strong knowledge of healthcare marketing, relationship management, payer networking, and behavioral health industry trends.
The ideal candidate is proactive, relationship-oriented, data-driven, and capable of developing long-term growth strategies while producing measurable results.
Key Responsibilities1. Strategic Growth & Market Expansion
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development plan aligned with organizational goals.
- Identify new market opportunities within:
- Behavioral health
- Psychiatric outpatient services
- Substance use treatment programs
- Healthcare systems and provider networks
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and service gaps to inform strategic planning.
- Support expansion initiatives for new service lines and treatment programs.
2. Referral Network Development
- Establish and maintain referral relationships with:
- Hospitals and emergency departments
- Primary care providers
- Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs)
- Private practices
- Community mental health agencies
- Detox facilities and residential programs
- Assisted living facilities and nursing homes
- Conduct in-person and virtual outreach meetings.
- Develop referral agreements and partnership contracts when applicable.
- Track referral sources and conversion rates.
3. Payer & Community Relations
- Assist in strengthening relationships with:
- Medicaid managed care organizations
- Commercial insurance providers
- Community agencies
- Represent Reclamation Center at community events, health fairs, and professional networking forums.
- Promote services in compliance with healthcare marketing regulations.
- Maintain awareness of Florida Medicaid, AHCA, and DCF regulations impacting service growth.
4. Sales & Revenue Development
- Lead negotiations and close partnership agreements.
- Prepare and present proposals tailored to potential partners.
- Collaborate with leadership to set growth targets and revenue goals.
- Develop pipelines and track sales performance metrics.
- Identify grant opportunities and strategic collaborations to support expansion.
5. Marketing Collaboration
- Work closely with marketing to:
- Develop targeted outreach campaigns
- Enhance digital presence
- Optimize lead generation strategies
- Provide feedback on branding, messaging, and competitive positioning.
- Ensure all marketing materials are compliant with healthcare regulations.
6. CRM & Data Management
- Utilize CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce or similar) to:
- Track leads
- Document outreach efforts
- Monitor referral patterns
- Analyze performance data
- Prepare detailed reports on business development activities and outcomes.
- Use analytics to guide data-driven decision-making.
7. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with:
- Clinical leadership
- Operations team
- Admissions/intake staff
- Finance department
- Ensure smooth onboarding of new referral partners.
- Align growth initiatives with operational capacity.
QualificationsRequired Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 3–5 years experience in business development, healthcare sales, or behavioral health outreach.
- Proven track record of achieving growth targets.
- Experience working in healthcare, mental health, or substance use treatment settings strongly preferred.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in behavioral health or addiction treatment marketing.
- Familiarity with Florida healthcare systems and referral networks.
- Understanding of Medicaid managed care structures.
- Experience launching or expanding healthcare programs.
