BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Job Description

Role Summary

The Business Development Manager drives revenue growth by identifying new opportunities, expanding client relationships, and managing existing clients securing long‑term supply and service contracts with UN Missions, U.S. defense contractors, U.S. Embassies, and Oil & Gas Companies. The role leads market intelligence, tender tracking, proposal development, and strategic partnerships across the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Growth & Market Expansion

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across UN agencies, defense contractors, embassies, and Oil & Gas companies.
  • Conduct market research to understand demand trends, competitor activity, and upcoming tenders.
  • Develop and execute growth strategies for new regions, product categories, and service lines.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline with accurate forecasting.

2. Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain high‑level relationships with procurement officers, contract managers, and mission representatives.
  • Lead client meetings, capability presentations, and negotiations.
  • Ensure timely communication, follow‑ups, and resolution of client queries.
  • Strengthen customer satisfaction and retention through proactive engagement.

3. Tender Management & Proposal Development

  • Monitor tender portals and identify relevant RFQs, RFPs, and long‑term agreements.
  • Lead preparation of technical and commercial proposals with operations, procurement, and finance teams.
  • Ensure all submissions meet compliance, technical specifications, and client requirements.
  • Review contract terms, pricing structures, and risk factors before submission.

4. Supplier & Partner Development

  • Identify and onboard suppliers capable of supporting new business opportunities.
  • Build partnerships with manufacturers, distributors, and logistics providers to enhance competitiveness.
  • Negotiate pricing, MOQs, delivery terms, and long‑term supply agreements.
  • Ensure suppliers meet quality, compliance, and delivery standards required by international missions.

5. Strategic Planning & Reporting

  • Develop annual business development plans aligned with company objectives.
  • Provide regular reports on pipeline status, win/loss analysis, and market insights.
  • Recommend strategic actions to improve win rates and expand market share.
  • Support management with data‑driven insights for decision‑making.

6. Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with operations, logistics, procurement, and finance teams to ensure feasibility of proposals.
  • Support operations during contract execution to maintain client satisfaction.
  • Contribute to marketing and branding initiatives to enhance company visibility.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Proven experience in business development within general trading, humanitarian supply chain, defense contracting, or Oil & Gas.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, tendering, and international contracting.
  • Experience working with multi‑country clients across Africa, Middle East, and Asia.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, CRM systems, and tender management tools.

Application Question(s):

  • 5 years minimum experience in UN Humanitarian missions support and US defense contract experience is must for this Job.
  • 5 years oil and gas experience
