Business Development Manager

The Position:

Getac North America is seeking a Business Development & Partner Ecosystem Manager to drive strategic growth through the development and management of key technology, hardware, and service partnerships. This individual will serve as the primary link between Getac's partner ecosystem and internal sales organization, ensuring partnerships translate into scalable go-to-market strategies and revenue-generating opportunities.

This role will focus on building relationships with complementary hardware manufacturers, rugged peripheral providers, connectivity vendors, docking and vehicle mount solution companies, autonomous systems providers, drone manufacturers, sensor and payload companies, and service partners. The Business Development & Partner Ecosystem Manager will develop integrated solutions and sales plays that support Enterprise, Federal, and Public Sector markets.

A key responsibility of this position will be supporting the growth of Getac's autonomous systems and drone control hardware portfolio by establishing strategic partnerships that create complete, field-ready solutions for UAS, UGV, and other autonomous platform operators.

This is not a quota-carrying sales role. The primary objective is to develop and execute partnership strategies that enable sales success and accelerate market adoption of Getac solutions.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with hardware manufacturers, service providers, and autonomous systems ecosystem partners.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned partners and ensure alignment between partner offerings and Getac's product portfolio.
  • Develop joint go-to-market strategies, bundled solution offerings, and vertical market sales plays with technology and service partners.
  • Structure and support co-sell and reseller relationships that expand Getac's market reach.
  • Identify, recruit, and manage partners supporting Getac's autonomous systems and drone control solutions, including UAS/UGV manufacturers, sensor providers, payload companies, communication hardware vendors, and related technology providers.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, and Sales teams to support interoperability initiatives, partner certifications, and co-branded solution development.
  • Create and deliver sales enablement materials, training programs, and solution positioning resources that help sales teams effectively present partner-integrated solutions.
  • Manage partner onboarding, program development, and ongoing partner engagement activities.
  • Represent Getac at industry conferences, trade shows, partner summits, customer meetings, and autonomous systems events.
  • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and market opportunities to identify new partnership opportunities that support company growth objectives.

Experience & Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in partner management, business development, alliances, channel development, or go-to-market strategy within technology-focused industries.
  • Strong understanding of endpoint computing, rugged hardware solutions, peripherals, docking systems, connectivity technologies, and related ecosystems.
  • Experience developing and managing co-sell, reseller, or strategic partnership programs.
  • Familiarity with autonomous systems, drone technologies, UAS/UGV platforms, sensors, payloads, datalinks, and ground control infrastructure preferred.
  • Experience supporting Enterprise, Federal, Public Sector, or Defense markets preferred.
  • Strong project management, relationship management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working for or alongside rugged computing manufacturers such as Panasonic TOUGHBOOK, Zebra Technologies, Dell Rugged, HP, Lenovo, Samsung, or similar organizations.
  • Experience within the autonomous systems, drone, robotics, or defense technology industries.
  • Familiarity with government procurement programs including GSA Schedule, SEWP, BPA contracts, and defense acquisition processes.
  • Existing relationships within the rugged computing, autonomous systems, defense, or public sector technology partner ecosystem.
  • Knowledge of MIL-STD certifications, IP ratings, NDAA compliance requirements, and related hardware qualification standards.

Travel:

  • Requires travel 50% of the time.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license, insurance, and a driving record meeting company criterion.
  • Passport required for international travel.

The Location:

Getac is headquartered in Irvine, California. This position is remote and may be located anywhere within the United States, with preference given to candidates located near a major airport.
