Duties and Responsibilities of a Business Development Manager:

# Primary Responsibilities

1. Business Growth: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth and expand the company's customer base.

2. Market Research: Conduct market research to stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activity, and customer needs.

3. Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business development goals and objectives.

4. Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and suppliers.

5. Proposal Development: Develop and submit proposals to prospective clients, including RFPs, RFQs, and unsolicited proposals.

# Secondary Responsibilities

1. Sales and Marketing Collaboration: Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop and implement sales and marketing strategies.

2. Product Development: Work with product development teams to identify new product opportunities and develop business cases for new products.

3. Partnership Development: Identify and develop strategic partnerships to drive business growth and expand the company's offerings.

4. Competitive Analysis: Conduct competitive analysis to stay up-to-date on competitor activity and identify opportunities to differentiate the company's offerings.

5. Performance Metrics: Develop and track performance metrics to measure the success of business development initiatives.
