About the Role

We are a well-established Freight Forwarding and Shipping Agency with a proven business track record, actively expanding our Import Sales division. We are looking for a driven and results-oriented Business Development Manager – Imports to join our team and help grow our client portfolio across key trade lanes.

This is a high-impact role suited for a self-motivated professional who thrives in a target-driven environment and has strong existing relationships within the importer and trading community.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, target, and acquire new import customers (traders, manufacturers, distributors) across relevant industries
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients
• Generate and follow up on leads for FCL / LCL / Air Freight import shipments
• Prepare competitive freight quotations and negotiate rates with clients and carriers
• Coordinate closely with operations and documentation teams to ensure seamless shipment execution
• Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
• Provide regular market intelligence and competitor activity reports to management
• Represent the company at trade events, industry forums, and client meetings

Requirements

Experience & Education

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Import Sales within Freight Forwarding or a Shipping Agency
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field
• Proven track record of bringing and retaining import business (FCL/LCL/ Air Import preferred)

Skills & Competencies

• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Existing client database and relationships with importers is a strong advantage
• Sound knowledge of import documentation, Incoterms, customs clearance processes, and shipping regulations in Pakistan
• Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with freight management or CRM tools is a plus
• Ability to work independently and manage a sales pipeline effectively
• Self-starter with a professional attitude.
