Business Development Manager (BDM) In the furniture and fit-out industry acts as a critical link between design capabilities and market demand.

Experience: 5+ years on the same role or equivalent

Salary: Attractive Salary + High Commissions + Incentives + possibility to travel outside UAE as official business!

Key Responsibilities

· Strategic Relationship Management: Identify, build, and maintain long-term partnerships with "specifiers"—including architects, interior designers, and project management consultants (PMCs)—to ensure the company is shortlisted for upcoming projects.

· Lead Generation & Market Research: Actively prospect for new commercial (offices, retail, hospitality) and high-end residential projects.

· Consultative Sales & Presentations: Conduct product presentations and sample displays, effectively communicating technical specifications for furniture, lighting, and turnkey solutions.

· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with estimation and design teams to ensure proposed solutions meet client requirements, technical feasibility, and "value-engineering" goals.

· Tender & Proposal Management: Manage the end-to-end sales cycle, from responding to RFIs/RFPs (Request for Information/Proposal) to drafting detailed quotations and negotiating final contracts.

· CRM & Reporting: Maintain an active project pipeline in CRM systems (like Pipedrive or Salesforce) and provide regular sales forecasts and market intelligence to management.

· Post-Sale Engagement: Follow up on project progress and maintain client contact through to final delivery to ensure satisfaction and secure future referrals.

Core Duties

· Networking: Representing the company at major industry events, trade shows, and exhibitions.

· Prequalification: Registering and prequalifying the firm with developers, real estate agencies, and government bodies.

· Target Achievement: Consistently meeting or exceeding monthly and quarterly revenue and gross profit targets.

· Market Analysis: Monitoring competitor activities, pricing strategies, and emerging design trends to adjust the company's value proposition.

Required Skills for BDM – Furniture & Fit-outs

· Technical Awareness: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, lighting plans, and interior layouts.

· Soft Skills: High-level negotiation, public speaking, and the "chameleon" ability to adapt communication styles for different types of clients (e.g., corporate vs. luxury residential).

· Digital Proficiency: Mastery of CRM tools and professional networking platforms like LinkedIn or other social media platforms for outbound prospecting.
