Job Summary
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth by acquiring and managing high-net-worth (HNW) and corporate clients for high-value insurance products, including International Medical Insurance (IMI), High-Value Motor, and Property Insurance.
The role requires strong relationship management skills, deep understanding of complex insurance products, and the ability to develop strategic partnerships to expand market share.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Sales
Identify and target high-net-worth individuals, corporates, brokers, and affinity partners.
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and growth targets.
Generate new business through direct sales, referrals, networking, and partnerships.
Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospects using CRM tools.
Conduct client meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations.
2. Client Relationship Management
Develop long-term relationships with HNW clients and corporate accounts.
Understand client risk profiles and recommend appropriate coverage solutions.
Provide personalized insurance advisory services tailored to client needs.
Ensure high retention rates through proactive engagement and service excellence.
3. Product Expertise
Maintain in-depth knowledge of:
International Medical Insurance (global coverage, expat plans, group schemes)
High-value motor insurance (luxury/exotic vehicles, fleet policies)
High-value property insurance (premium homes, estates, commercial properties)
Collaborate with underwriting teams to structure customized policies.
Stay updated on market trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes.
4. Partnerships & Broker Management
Establish and manage relationships with insurance brokers, financial advisors, real estate firms, and auto dealers.
Develop referral channels to generate consistent business flow.
Negotiate commercial terms and partnership agreements where applicable.
5. Reporting & Compliance
Achieve individual sales targets, KPIs, and profitability goals.
Prepare regular sales forecasts and performance reports.
Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or related field
Professional insurance certification (e.g., CII, ACII) preferred
5–10 years of experience in insurance sales/business development
Proven track record in high-value insurance segments (IMI, Motor, Property)
Strong understanding of underwriting principles and insurance regulations
