Company Profile: Reputed clean-energy developer operating Solar and Hydro power assets across India

Role Overview:

Responsible for negotiating Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and related commercial arrangements with industrial and commercial consumers, DISCOMs, and open access clients. The candidate should possess strong technical understanding of power generation and open access systems along with the ability to negotiate, structure, and close commercial deals.

Key Responsibilities:

· Identify and engage industrial and commercial consumers for sale of renewable energy through Open Access, Captive, and Group Captive modes.

· Develop leads via OEMs, EPCs, consultants, energy auditors, and industry networks.

· Structure and negotiate PPAs/SLAs, Wheeling Agreements, Banking Arrangements, etc.

· Assess consumer load profiles, demand patterns, contract demand & TOD tariffs.

· Evaluate solar/wind/hydro generation profiles, losses, scheduling, forecasting, and energy accounting.

· Prepare financial models: landed tariff, RoI, payback, open access charges, and risk assessment.

· Interact with SLDC, TRANSCO, DISCOMs for approvals, NOCs, synchronization, and compliance.

· Track changes in open access regulations, green energy rules, ISTS/STS charges, and impact analysis.

· Present proposals, conduct site visits, handle commercial/technical queries.

· Close long-term contracts ensuring win-win pricing and compliance.

· Work closely with design, execution, operations, and legal teams for accurate proposals and timely delivery.

Desired Candidate Profile:

· B.Tech/B.E. in Electrical/Power Systems/Energy. MBA (Marketing) preferred.

· 5–10 years of experience in power sector, preferably in renewable energy sales, open access, or PPA sales, C&I renewable energy management solutions.

Strong understanding of energy regulations, open access framework, Scheduling & forecasting, Wheeling, banking, transmission losses, SLDC/TRANSCO processes and tariff policies.

· Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.

· Ability to handle both technical and commercial discussions with clients and authorities.

· Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis related to power consumption and tariff calculations.

· Willingness to travel within and outside the state as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
