1. Job Summary
The Business Development Manager (BDM) in a real estate firm is responsible for generating new clients, managing channel partners, expanding market presence, and driving overall sales growth. The role focuses on identifying business opportunities, establishing strong client relationships, and achieving sales targets for residential and commercial projects.
2. Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Sales Growth
- Generate qualified leads through networking, site visits, online platforms, cold calling, and referrals.
- Conduct meetings with clients to explain project details, pricing, financials, and documentation.
- Convert leads into site visits and ensure high visit-to-booking conversion.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets set by the management.
Channel Partner Management
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with real estate brokers and channel partners.
- Conduct channel partner meets, trainings, and project briefings.
- Ensure channel partners stay updated with inventory, pricing, offers, and project progress.
- Encourage CPs to generate regular business and support them in closing deals.
Market Expansion & Strategy
- Identify new markets, customer segments, institutional buyers, and corporate clients.
- Gather market insights on competing projects, price movements, customer preferences, and demand trends.
Client Management
- Conduct professional presentations, site tours, and closing negotiations.
- Provide after-sales support until agreement, registration, and handover.
- Maintain strong client relations to ensure referrals and repeat business.
- Address customer queries, concerns, and follow-up promptly.
Reporting & Coordination
- Update CRM with daily leads, client interactions, and status of prospects.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly sales reports and forecasts for management.
- Coordinate with digital marketing, sales admin, legal, and operations teams for smooth execution.
- Ensure compliance with company processes, documentation standards, and legal requirements.
3. Qualifications & Skills
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or related field.
- MBA (Optional)
Experience
- 2–4 years of Business Development/Sales experience.
- Prior experience in real estate is highly preferred.
- Strong track record of achieving sales targets.
Skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
- Strong networking skills and ability to manage multiple clients.
- Deep understanding of real estate sales cycle and customer behavior.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in CRM, MS Office, and digital marketing platforms.
- High energy, self-motivated, and goal-oriented approach.
