Business Development Manager (Sales & Growth)

Location: Remote (U.S.-based preferred; New Orleans presence a plus for networking and events)
Schedule: Part-Time (20–30 hours/week to start), with core availability Monday–Thursday, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM CST
Reports To: CEO

Position Overview

Creativity Justified is seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth by generating new business opportunities, developing strategic proposals, and closing deals across key industries including Sports & Entertainment, Healthcare, Government, and Corporate sectors.

This role is responsible for the full sales lifecycle—from prospecting and lead generation to proposal development and deal closure. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a performance-based environment and is motivated by building relationships, creating opportunities, and closing deals.

This is a high-ownership role that requires consistent outbound activity, strong follow-through, and measurable results.

Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation & Pipeline Development

  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through outbound outreach, networking, referrals, and partnerships
  • Build and maintain a qualified and active sales pipeline
  • Engage decision-makers across target industries and markets

Sales & Deal Closure

  • Lead discovery calls to assess client needs and align agency solutions
  • Develop and present proposals in collaboration with internal teams
  • Negotiate terms and close deals
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets

Proposal Development & Coordination

  • Collaborate with Creative, Client Experience, and Leadership to develop strategic, high-quality proposals
  • Manage proposal timelines, follow-ups, and revisions
  • Ensure alignment between client needs and agency capabilities

CRM Management & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and deal stages in Dubsado (or CRM)
  • Submit weekly pipeline reports including:
  • Leads generated
  • Outreach activity
  • Proposals sent
  • Deals closed
  • Revenue projections

Relationship Building & Brand Representation

  • Represent Creativity Justified in meetings, networking events, and industry engagements
  • Build long-term relationships that generate repeat business and referrals

Qualifications

  • 3–7+ years of experience in business development, sales, or agency growth roles
  • Proven track record of generating leads and closing deals
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Experience selling marketing, advertising, or professional services preferred
  • Ability to work independently and manage a full sales pipeline

Compensation Structure
Base Compensation (Hourly)

$15.00 – $18.00 per hour
20–30 hours per week to start (scalable based on performance)

Commission Structure (Primary Earnings Driver)

  • 8% commission on closed deals from company-provided or warm leads
  • 10–12% commission on self-generated and closed deals

Commission is paid on collected revenue.

Performance-Based Growth

  • Hours may increase based on consistent deal flow and performance
  • High performers may transition into expanded roles and increased compensation tiers

Bonus Opportunities (Performance-Based)

  • $10,000+ closed in a month → $500 bonus
  • $25,000+ closed in a month → $1,500 bonus
  • Additional incentives may be introduced for exceeding quarterly targets

Performance Expectations

  • Consistent outbound activity (calls, emails, networking, outreach)
  • Weekly pipeline reporting and CRM updates
  • Monthly deal flow and revenue contribution
  • Clear visibility into pipeline and performance metrics

Important Role Expectations

  • This role is responsible for generating its own leads and opportunities
  • While some inbound opportunities may be available, success is based on self-driven pipeline creation
  • Hours must be supported by documented activity and measurable output
