About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Business Development Manager (BDM) to represent and promote our partner German universities, HdWM University of Applied Management Studies, Mannheim, and IB Hochschule University of Applied Health and Social Sciences, Berlin, across the Turkish market. The BDM will play a key role in establishing, managing, and expanding partnerships with educational agencies, schools, and other institutions to recruit qualified students for various undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute regional business development strategies to increase student enrollments from Turkey for both universities.
- Identify, onboard, and maintain relationships with education consultants, agents, and institutional partners across Turkey and nearby regions.
- Conduct training sessions, workshops, and presentations for partner agencies and counsellors to promote the universities’ programs.
- Represent the universities at local and regional education fairs, seminars, and other promotional events.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and student recruitment patterns to refine regional strategies.
- Coordinate with the admissions and marketing teams to ensure smooth application processing and effective communication with agents.
- Provide regular market updates, performance reports, and partnership feedback to management.
- Ensure all promotional activities and communications align with university brand guidelines and ethical recruitment standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Education, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in international student recruitment, business development, or higher education marketing.
- Strong network of educational agents and institutions in Turkey.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; proficiency in Turkish is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to achieve recruitment targets and manage multiple partnerships simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of the Turkish higher education landscape and student preferences for studying abroad, especially in Europe.
- Willingness to travel within Turkey and occasionally internationally.
