We are looking for an experienced Business Development Specialist with a strong focus on Upwork to join our growing IT services team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience winning projects on Upwork and managing the full client acquisition cycle within the IT sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the Upwork profile, including bidding, proposal writing, and client communication
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in IT services and software development
- Write customized, high-quality proposals aligned with client requirements
- Qualify leads, conduct discovery calls, and coordinate with internal teams
- Maintain and update CRM/pipeline with accurate deal status
- Meet defined weekly and monthly lead and conversion targets
Requirements:
- 3–4+ years of proven experience as a Business Development Specialist on Upwork
- Strong background in IT services / software development sales
- Demonstrated track record of winning projects on Upwork
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Strong understanding of project scoping, pricing, and timelines
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently with ownership mindset
Nice to Have:
- Experience selling AI, SaaS, or cloud-based solutions
- Familiarity with other freelancing platforms or outbound sales channels
