American General Corporation is a boutique family-owned company with two distinct but complementary business arms: AmGen Builders, our general contracting division, and AmGen Development, our real estate development division. We are a dynamic, hands-on team that takes pride in the quality of our work and the relationships we build. As we grow both sides of our business, we are looking for a sharp, self-driven Business Development Manager to support and expand our pipeline across both divisions.

Position Overview

This is a fully remote, virtual assistant role. You will work directly with leadership to drive business development efforts for both AmGen Builders and AmGen Development. The ideal candidate understands the construction and real estate industries, communicates professionally, and can hit the ground running with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify new business opportunities, leads, and potential partners for both the contracting and development arms
  • Plan and execute mass email outreach campaigns targeting developers, investors, property owners, subcontractors, and other industry contacts
  • Maintain organized databases, lead trackers, and project pipelines using Excel and Google Sheets
  • Conduct market research on development opportunities, competitor activity, and industry trends
  • Support the preparation of proposals, presentations, and client-facing materials
  • Manage correspondence, scheduling, and coordination tasks using Google Workspace tools
  • Assist leadership with day-to-day administrative and business development tasks across both divisions

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in construction and/or real estate — required
  • Demonstrated experience in business development, sales support, or client outreach
  • Efficiency and proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar) — required
  • Advanced Excel spreadsheet skills — required
  • Hands-on experience planning and executing mass email campaigns — required
  • Strong online research and data synthesis capabilities — required
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and reliable
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment

Compensation & Schedule

  • Pay: $10.00 USD per hour
  • Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday
  • Schedule: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM California Time (PT)
  • Location: Fully Remote
