Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and commercially driven Business Development Manager to expand our investor base and strategic partnerships within the fund management business. The role requires a polished communicator with proven success engaging C-suite executives and High Net Worth (HNW) individuals.
The ideal candidate combines strong relationship-building skills with a disciplined sales approach and a deep understanding of investment products. Experience in real estate investments or real estate–linked funds will be considered a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Capital Raising
- Identify, originate, and close new investment mandates from institutional investors, family offices, and HNW/UHNW clients.
- Build and manage a structured pipeline of qualified prospects.
- Lead the full sales lifecycle from prospecting and pitching through onboarding and capital deployment.
- Achieve and exceed defined capital raising and revenue targets.
- Represent the firm at investor meetings, industry conferences, and networking events.
2. Client Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain trusted relationships with C-suite executives, private investors, and institutional stakeholders.
- Deliver high-quality presentations and investment pitches.
- Maintain ongoing engagement with existing investors to support retention, cross-selling, and upselling opportunities.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless client experience.
3. Market Intelligence & Strategic Input
- Monitor market trends, competitor positioning, and investor sentiment across the GCC region.
- Provide actionable insights to senior management regarding product demand and positioning strategies.
- Contribute to go-to-market planning for new funds, real estate products, or investment vehicles.
4. Collaboration, Governance & Reporting
- Work closely with internal investment, marketing, and compliance teams to align messaging and execution.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and structured sales reporting.
- Ensure full adherence to UAE regulatory and compliance requirements in all client interactions.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
- Proven track record in business development or capital raising within fund management, asset management, private banking, or financial services.
- Demonstrated experience engaging senior stakeholders and HNW/UHNW investors.
- Strong commercial acumen with measurable sales performance achievements.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
- Arabic and/or German language skills are a strong advantage.
- Experience operating in or covering the GCC/UAE market is preferred.
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to real estate investments, real estate funds, or property-linked investment products.
- Established network of family offices, private banks, or institutional investors in the GCC region.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and structured sales methodologies.
- Professional certifications such as CFA, CAIA, or equivalent are an advantage.
