NIKA is hiring for a Business Development & Marketing Coordinator to support our Business Development team based out of our HQ office in Rockville, MD!!
The Business Development & Marketing Coordinator plays a key role in advancing the company’s growth by supporting both business development and marketing initiatives in the government contracting marketplace. This position assists in the execution of capture strategies, proposal efforts, and marketing campaigns that strengthen the company’s brand, expand visibility, and enhance competitiveness. Responsibilities span across content development, pipeline tracking, digital and social media, events, and corporate communications. The Coordinator collaborates with business development, capture, proposal, and recruiting teams to ensure consistent messaging, support talent acquisition marketing, and produce professional, compliant, and impactful materials aligned with client missions and corporate growth objectives.
Primary Duties and Job Responsibilities

Coordinate and contribute to the preparation of proposals, statements of qualifications, and client presentations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and brand consistency.

Research and track opportunities in platforms such as GovWin and maintain the business development pipeline, supporting capture teams with timely updates and opportunity insights.

Assist with drafting, editing, and formatting proposal content, graphics, resumes, and past performance narratives.

Develop, update, and maintain marketing collateral including brochures, fact sheets, advertisements, templates, and capability statements.

Support branding and digital marketing initiatives, including SEO-friendly website updates, blog articles, and thought leadership pieces.

Manage and grow the company’s social media presence (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram), aligning posts with business development campaigns and recruitment marketing.

Draft, edit, and distribute corporate communications such as press releases, event invitations, newsletters, and media content.

Support the creation of case studies, success stories, and award nominations to highlight company expertise and achievements.

Assist in coordinating industry events, conferences, and trade shows, including logistics, materials, and post-event follow-up.

Prepare business development and marketing reports, track campaign performance, and measure progress against strategic objectives.

Provide writing and editing support for executive communications and leadership correspondence.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop clear, persuasive, and compliant proposal and marketing content.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) or equivalent.

Knowledge of marketing strategies, branding, digital communication, and social media best practices.

Familiarity with government contracting processes, including RFPs, RFIs, and compliance requirements; prior GovCon experience strongly preferred.

Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

Ability to conduct research and maintain business development pipelines using tools such as GovWin or similar platforms.

Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with business development, capture, proposal, and recruiting teams.

Education, Training, and Certifications
- Minimum Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Graphic Design, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or business development

Experience in a government contracting, professional services, or highly regulated environment preferred.
