Part-Time Business Development & Operations Coordinator

$25–$28/hr | Bergen County, NJ | 8–12 hrs/week

A Bergen County home services and renovation company is looking for a part-time coordinator who can help generate business AND help run it. This is a dual role — half field and sales support, half office and operations.

You'll work directly with the owner and a small field operator. Your job is to bring leads in, help close them, push marketing, and keep the team and office organized and accountable. If you've worn multiple hats in a small business and thrive in that environment — read on.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Business Generation & Sales Support:

• Active outreach — Nextdoor, Craigslist, Facebook groups, referrals, property managers, realtors

• Support field operator on estimates, job scoping, and closing

• Follow up on all leads same day — no lead goes cold

• Monitor marketing activity — listings, Google reviews, social media presence

• Track leads, estimates, and jobs weekly — report on pipeline

Office & Operations:

• Run weekly check-ins with small team — prior week review, next week targets

• Keep owner organized — files, calendar, open items, follow-ups

• Hold team accountable to deadlines and commitments

• Handle escalations — vendor disputes, collections, attorney follow-ups

• Help implement simple operating systems and policies

• End-of-session briefing to owner — what's moving, what's not, what needs attention

REQUIREMENTS:

• Background in home services, construction, or small business operations

• Experience generating leads or customers — not just handling inbound

• Familiarity with estimating or job scoping a strong plus

• Strong communicator — phone, in person, written

• Self-managed, ownership mindset — proactive not reactive

• Organized and reliable — detail oriented

• Local to Bergen County NJ — in-person availability required

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

COMPENSATION:

• $25–$28/hr base depending on experience

• Performance incentives available based on results

• 8–12 hours per week to start — two sessions per week
