Restore Serve is a rapidly growing restoration company in Dallas specializing in water damage mitigation, fire and smoke damage restoration, mold remediation, and biohazard cleanup. Our mission is to help homeowners and businesses recover quickly from disasters—with integrity, urgency, and care.

We’re looking for a Business Development Representative (BDR) with a proven track record of selling services into trade and service partners (e.g., plumbing, HVAC). In this role, your primary focus will be building referral relationships with plumbers across DFW, ensuring Restore Serve is their first call when their customers experience water damage or other property emergencies.

This is a unique startup opportunity where your role will be foundational in creating our plumber referral program and expanding our footprint across Dallas–Fort Worth. We are investing heavily in building out our business development program.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven outside sales experience selling services to trade partners (e.g., plumbing, HVAC, contractors)
  • Strong relationship builder—comfortable engaging owners, dispatchers, and service managers at plumbing companies
  • Self-motivated, organized, and disciplined—you manage your own pipeline and follow through
  • Positive and persistent—you handle rejection and keep moving

Bonus: Experience in plumbing, HVAC, construction, or restoration-related industries is helpful, but we are primarily seeking sales hunters who can win referrals.

Ideal Backgrounds We’d Love to See

  • Plumbers or former tradespeople
  • Vendor sales reps already calling on plumbing or trade service companies
  • Sales reps from companies like Ferguson, Winsupply, Johnstone Supply, Grainger, HD Supply
  • Account executives or business developers in commercial or residential services
  • Restoration or insurance sales reps with trade referral experience
  • Former service industry professionals (plumbing/HVAC supervisors, dispatchers) who have transitioned into sales and proven success

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate has a proven track record of building relationships and driving sales within the trades.

Experience selling products or services to plumbing, HVAC, or construction companies is highly preferred, as this role requires an understanding of how contractors operate and make referral decisions.

Candidates with backgrounds in plumbing/HVAC distribution (e.g., Ferguson, Winsupply, Hajoca) or service sales (e.g., Cintas, Aramark, UniFirst) are especially strong fits.

A history of route-based or relationship-driven sales is more important than transactional sales experience. This person thrives on face-to-face interactions, enjoys walking into shops and job sites, and knows how to build trust with small business owners and technicians.

Former tradespeople who have transitioned into sales are also encouraged to apply, as industry credibility and the ability to “speak the language” of plumbers can be a major advantage.

What You’ll DoTarget Plumbers & Related Trades

Build and grow relationships with plumbing companies, HVAC contractors, and other service trades.

Local Outreach & Networking

Schedule meetings, host lunches, attend trade association events, and be the face of Restore Serve in DFW’s plumbing community.

Referral Program Growth

Launch and scale Restore Serve’s plumber referral network.

Lead Generation & Prospecting

Identify new trade partners and grow referral pipelines.

Partnership Development

Strengthen long-term relationships with plumbers, dispatchers, and service managers who can refer customers experiencing water damage, fire damage, mold issues, or biohazard situations.

Brand Awareness

Represent Restore Serve at trade shows, industry events, chambers, and networking groups.

CRM Management

Keep contacts, notes, and referrals updated for consistent follow-up.

Collaboration

Work closely with operations to ensure smooth handoffs from referral to project completion.
