Job Description - Business Developer
We are a growing, successful Custom Cabinet Company specializing in high-end custom cabinets. We are committed to evolving and excelling in our industry. We serve Consumers (B2C).
We are looking for an experienced Business Developer to join our team and help us reach potential buyers outside homeowners and individual customers. This position is intended to start a new segment dedicated to businesses (B2B), where we must identify their needs, establish processes, build relationships, and create accounts. That way, we can offer value for their business in our current territory and beyond. Huge potential!
Main Responsibilities:
Reaching, building relationships, and creating accounts with interior designers, architects, builders, developers, realtors, and other businesses. It will require cold calls, emails, and visits. Once the account is established, all projects are to be managed from start to finish until payment is collected. This position is to be the main point of contact for the customer. Responsibilities include inside/outside sales, project management, contract reading and negotiation, take-offs, site evaluation, proposals, material search and selection, material order, work order, customer service, promotions, problem resolution, special events, collection, and any additional related tasks needed.

- Develop in-depth knowledge and expertise about all Appenin Boca Raton products/services and procedures.
- Develop the territory by identifying potential customers and presenting our company, products, and services.
- Make and receive calls to/from potential customers as well as make cold and arranged visits to them.
- Set up and maintain displays and merchandising samples in customers’ offices or bring specific samples to the customer’s needs and requests.
- Receive customers and/or their clients in our showrooms or office for product selection.
- Visit job sites to evaluate what needs to be done, identify the material and labor needed, identify potential issues, and develop different proposals.
- Answer customers’ questions about products and provide solutions/recommendations by understanding Appenin Boca Raton’s product lines and everyday industry products, brands, and trends.
- Responds to the marketplace by providing value through being a knowledgeable rep with quick follow-up.
- Attend network meetings, be on time to work, and all other appointments.
- Maintain a positive and productive attitude and motivation.
- Feed our CRM daily with calls, visits, and updates – Relationship Management.
- Understand Appenin Boca Raton departmental processes, including accounting, purchasing, installation, and customer service - Work independently yet cooperatively with the company and team's goals and directives.
- Contribute to all sales and company goals. Assist with miscellaneous projects and duties (catalog, brochures, warehouse, marketing, special event planning and execution, etc.).
- Adheres to all regulatory guidelines and company policy regarding safety and our guiding principles.
- Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods, assist in distribution operations, and squat, bend, kneel, and lift 5-50 lbs.
- Travel throughout assigned territories; Travel for sales visits, special events, and training (local/regional travel 5-25% of the time).
Education & Experience:
- 1-2 years’ work experience (preferably in construction/flooring/ cabinets and outside sales)
- Previous experience dealing with interior designers, contractors, builders, realtors and etc.
- Marketing Degree preferred (although additional industry experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
Requirements:
- Possess strong presentation, negotiation, communication, project management and closing skills
- Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, goal-oriented, self-motivated, and be able to work independently
- Must have personal integrity and steadfast commitment to customers
- Computer literate – MS Office, CRM’s, Monday.com (to be learned), QuickBooks & Internet navigation
- Must be able to follow the company’s process & procedures
- Clear Drug screenings, criminal background checks, and driver's license checks are required in pre-employment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $4,000.00 - $10,000.00 per month
