Business Development Representative

About the Role

Studio Hawa is looking for a part-time Business Development Representative to help us grow our footprint as we expand into AI-powered media production. This is a relationship-driven role for someone who already lives and breathes the regional media scene — someone with a black book of contacts and a sharp eye for where the industry is heading.

You'll work closely with our leadership to bring in new business, track the competitive landscape, and help position the studio at the front of the AI media wave in MENA.

What You'll Do

• Identify, pitch, and close new business opportunities across the MENA region, with a focus on brands, agencies, and production partners exploring AI-driven content
• Leverage your existing network to open doors and continuously build new relationships through events, industry gatherings, and direct outreach
• Conduct ongoing market research on AI media activity across the region — who's signing deals, what tools are being adopted, what budgets are moving, and where the gaps are
• Report regularly to leadership on competitive intelligence and emerging opportunities
• Represent Studio Hawa at relevant industry events, panels, and meetings
• Maintain a clean pipeline and provide consistent updates on deal flow

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of experience in production, creative agency, or media sales
• Strong existing network across the MENA media, advertising, and production ecosystem
• Genuine understanding of the shift toward AI media production — and the business implications for clients, studios, and agencies
• Proven track record of building new relationships from scratch
• Comfortable working independently with light supervision
• Strong research instincts and the discipline to track the market consistently
• Fluent in English; Arabic strongly preferred

Compensation

Monthly honorarium reflecting part-time commitment

Commission of 5–10% on every closed deal, scaled inversely to project size:

◦ Smaller-budget projects earn a higher commission percentage

◦ Larger-budget projects earn a lower percentage (still meaningful in absolute terms)
