Business Development Representative – Clinical Research

Caribbean Health Research Center (CHRC) is seeking a motivated and personable Physician Liaison / Business Development Representative to support the growth of our clinical research network across Puerto Rico.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in pharmaceutical sales, medical sales, healthcare outreach, provider relations, or business development who is comfortable visiting physician offices, building professional relationships, and identifying opportunities for collaboration.

The selected contractor will help expand CHRC’s presence in the medical community by promoting our clinical research services, increasing patient referral pathways, and identifying physicians interested in participating in research as investigators or collaborators.

Responsibilities:

• Visit physician offices and healthcare facilities to introduce CHRC and our active clinical studies
• Build and maintain relationships with doctors, office managers, referral coordinators, and other healthcare professionals
• Generate patient referral opportunities for ongoing clinical trials
• Identify and engage physicians who may be interested in serving as investigators, sub-investigators, or research partners
• Coordinate meetings between providers and CHRC leadership
• Represent CHRC professionally in the field and communicate our mission and services clearly
• Track outreach efforts, meetings, leads, and follow-up activities
• Support initiatives to grow CHRC’s network and community presence

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in pharmaceutical sales, medical sales, healthcare outreach, provider relations, or a related field
• Strong networking, communication, and relationship-building skills
• Comfortable with in-person outreach and local travel to physician offices
• Organized, proactive, and self-motivated
• Spanish fluency required; English proficiency preferred
• Knowledge of clinical research is a plus, but not required

Compensation:
This is a 1099 independent contractor position paid at $25–$28 per hour, based on experience, plus mileage reimbursement. Additional performance-based incentives may be discussed based on results and business development contributions.
