We are seeking a driven and consultative Business Development Representative (BDR) to help grow our cybersecurity compliance solutions business. In this role, you will be on the front lines of our revenue engine—identifying, qualifying, and engaging organizations that need help navigating complex cybersecurity and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate understands the intersection of cybersecurity, risk management, and compliance and is comfortable discussing frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI DSS, NIST, CMMC, and related regulations. This role works closely with Sales, Marketing, and Compliance Subject Matter Experts to build a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities.
Responsibilities:
Pipeline Generation & Qualification

Identify and engage prospective customers through outbound and inbound channels (email, phone, LinkedIn, events)

Qualify leads based on business needs, regulatory drivers, budget, timeline, and decision-makers

Research target accounts to understand compliance obligations, industry risks, and security maturity

Schedule discovery meetings and hand off qualified opportunities to Account Executives
Collaboration & Process

Partner with marketing on campaigns, events, and messaging

Work closely with sales and delivery teams to ensure smooth prospect handoffs

Maintain accurate records of activity and pipeline within HubSpot

Provide feedback on market trends, competitive landscape, and customer pain points
Metrics & Performance

Consistently meet or exceed activity, meeting, and pipeline targets

Track performance against KPIs and adapt outreach strategies accordingly
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
-
1–3+ years of experience in business development, sales development, or inside sales

Strong interest in cybersecurity, compliance, or risk management

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders

Proven ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and work independently

Experience using CRM and sales engagement tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach)
Preferred Qualifications

Experience selling cybersecurity, compliance, IT, or professional services

Familiarity with frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI DSS, NIST, or CMMC

Experience selling to regulated industries (SaaS, healthcare, fintech, government, critical infrastructure)

Understanding of consultative or solution-based sales methodologies
