About the Opportunity:

Reporting to the Director of Sales Effectiveness, the Business Development Representative is responsible for identifying and generating new business opportunities through outbound and inbound prospecting. This role focuses on building a strong sales pipeline by engaging potential customers, qualifying leads, and scheduling meetings for the sales team. The BDR plays a critical role in driving revenue growth and expanding market presence.

What You'll Do:

  • Identify and research prospective customers through outbound calls, emails, and social outreach
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads to assess fit, needs, and buying potential
  • Schedule discovery meetings and product demonstrations for Account Executives or Sales Managers
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the CRM system
  • Develop a strong understanding of the company’s products, services, and value proposition
  • Collaborate closely with sales and marketing teams to optimize lead generation strategies
  • Track and report on outreach activity, pipeline metrics, and conversion rates
  • Follow up consistently with prospects to nurture relationships and move them through the sales funnel
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitors, and target markets

What You'll Bring:

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree.
  • 1+ years of experience in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles (entry-level candidates considered)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfort with outbound prospecting and handling objections
  • Basic experience with CRM systems (Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar preferred)
  • Goal-oriented with a strong desire to exceed targets
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong listening and relationship-building skills
  • Resilience and persistence in a high-volume outreach role

Work Environment:

This position primarily works in an office or in a home office. The position is largely sedentary with the majority of the position sitting in a chair and working with a computer. The role uses basic office equipment including a phone, video, computer, keyboard, mouse and printer. This position will need to be able to stand, walk, bend, and climb stairs.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
