7P Productions is a Clearwater-based creative production and social commerce company helping businesses grow through social media management, content creation, video production, social commerce, live shopping, podcast production, and brand storytelling.

We work with consumer product companies, local and regional businesses, and growing brands that need stronger content, more consistent visibility, and a better way to connect with customers across social platforms.

We are looking for a relationship-driven Business Development Representative to help us build new client relationships and expand our retainer-based business.

Position Overview

7P Productions is looking for a relationship-driven Business Development Representative to help us expand our retainer-based client relationships with consumer brands, local businesses, and product-focused companies.

This is not a traditional cold-calling role.

We are looking for someone who can build real relationships with business owners, founders, marketing leaders, consumer brands, retailers, and local/regional companies. The right person will know how to identify opportunities, start meaningful conversations, understand business needs, and introduce 7P Productions in a professional and consultative way.

This role will begin as a contract or part-time position, with the potential to grow into a larger role as momentum develops.

At this stage, we are building a more consistent business development channel. We do not currently have a purchased lead list, so the right candidate must be comfortable sourcing prospects, building a quality pipeline, leveraging existing relationships, and helping us create new client opportunities within markets where 7P is already well-positioned.

Primary Focus

The initial focus will be developing retainer-based clients for:

  • Social media management
  • Content creation
  • Video production
  • Social commerce support
  • Live shopping and live selling opportunities
  • Brand storytelling and product-focused content

The goal is to develop long-term retainer-based client relationships rather than one-off transactional projects.

Target Clients

The ideal candidate should be comfortable developing relationships with businesses such as:

  • Consumer product companies
  • Wellness, beauty, fitness, food, beverage, pet, home goods, and lifestyle brands
  • Local and regional businesses that need recurring social media, video, and content support
  • Retailers and service businesses with strong visual storytelling and customer engagement potential
  • Product companies selling through Amazon, TikTok Shop, Shopify, retail, or direct-to-consumer channels
  • Select hospitality, entertainment, and experience-based businesses where content and social visibility can drive awareness and customer engagement

Responsibilities

  • Source and develop new business opportunities for 7P Productions
  • Build and maintain a quality prospect list
  • Identify 25–50 new prospects per week
  • Make targeted outreach to business owners, founders, marketing leaders, and decision-makers
  • Build relationships and create qualified client opportunities
  • Schedule discovery calls and introductory meetings
  • Help identify client needs and determine whether there is a fit for 7P services
  • Track outreach, follow-ups, meetings, and pipeline activity
  • Provide weekly pipeline updates
  • Work directly with the founder on strategy, prospects, proposals, and next steps
  • Represent 7P Productions professionally in the marketplace
  • Eventually support closing new client opportunities once fully comfortable with 7P’s services, process, and positioning

What 7P Will Provide

7P will provide resources to help the right person succeed, including:

  • 7P Suite of Services deck
  • Case studies and sample work
  • Service one-sheets
  • Target client profiles
  • Discovery questions
  • Weekly check-ins with the founder
  • Support on proposals and client strategy
  • Guidance on 7P’s services, positioning, and ideal client fit

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a strong relationship builder with proven experience selling to businesses. This person should be self-motivated, organized, personable, professional, and comfortable building a pipeline from the ground up.

A strong fit may have experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • B2B sales
  • Business development
  • Marketing, advertising, media, or agency sales
  • Social media, digital marketing, or creative services
  • Video production or content services
  • Consumer products, retail, vendor, or manufacturer rep sales
  • Local Tampa Bay business development
  • Selling retainers or ongoing service relationships

Required Qualifications

  • Experience selling services or solutions to businesses
  • Ability to source leads and build a prospect pipeline independently
  • Strong communication and follow-up skills
  • Comfortable speaking with business owners, founders, executives, and marketing leaders
  • Organized and able to track pipeline activity
  • Professional, personable, and relationship-driven
  • Comfortable working in a performance-based role
  • Ability to understand a business need and connect that need to the right service
  • Strong judgment and ability to represent 7P Productions professionally

Preferred Qualifications

  • Existing Tampa Bay business relationships
  • Experience selling marketing, media, video, social media, advertising, or agency services
  • Experience with consumer product companies, retail, or service businesses
  • Vendor rep, manufacturer rep, territory sales, or local business development background
  • Experience selling monthly retainers or ongoing service contracts
  • Familiarity with social media, content creation, video production, social commerce, or live shopping

Compensation

This role is designed for someone who wants meaningful upside and is motivated by performance.

Compensation includes a monthly contractor draw/stipend for the first 90 days, plus uncapped commission based on collected revenue from new client relationships.

Final compensation details will be discussed based on experience, network, role structure, and agreed-upon expectations.

First 90 Days

The first 90 days will focus on building momentum, creating a quality prospect pipeline, and developing new client opportunities.

Success in the first 90 days may include:

  • Building a strong list of qualified target prospects
  • Creating consistent outreach activity
  • Developing relationships with business owners and decision-makers
  • Scheduling qualified discovery calls
  • Creating active proposal opportunities
  • Identifying the strongest industries or verticals for 7P
  • Working toward closing new monthly retainer clients

Who This Is Not For

This role is not a fit for someone who only wants a high base salary with no performance responsibility.

It is also not a fit for someone who only relies on aggressive cold calling, needs a fully built lead machine, is disorganized with follow-up, or wants to discount services just to close a deal.

7P Productions is relationship-based, consultative, and brand-focused. We are looking for someone who can represent the company with professionalism, personality, and credibility.

Pay: $1,500.00 - $10,000.00 per month
