Job Description

CHS Tech Solutions and Welkept Books are seeking a motivated and professional Business Development & Sales Representative to support growth in the Lancaster, PA area.

This is a full-time, W-2 position with a guaranteed base salary and additional performance-based compensation. This is not a commission-only role.

The individual in this role will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, building relationships within the local business community, and managing the sales process from initial contact through closing.

You will represent two complementary service organizations:

  • CHS Tech Solutions (Managed IT services, cloud solutions, cybersecurity, and business technology)
  • Welkept Books (bookkeeping and financial services for small businesses)

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with local businesses through networking, referrals, and outreach
  • Attend networking events, business groups, and community organizations (such as Chamber and BNI-style groups)
  • Schedule and conduct meetings with prospective clients to understand their needs
  • Prepare and present proposals, quotes, and service recommendations
  • Manage and maintain an organized sales pipeline using company CRM tools
  • Follow up consistently with prospects and clients
  • Collaborate with internal team members to ensure a smooth transition from sales to service delivery
  • Maintain ongoing relationships with clients after the sale

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable meeting new people and building professional relationships
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work independently
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Willingness to participate in regular networking and in-person meetings in the Lancaster area

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior sales experience (B2B preferred but not required)
  • Experience in IT services, business services, or professional services is a plus
  • Experience using CRM or sales tracking tools

Work Environment

  • Flexible work environment (remote work available)
  • Regular in-person networking and client meetings required
  • Local travel within Lancaster County expected

Compensation Details

This position includes:

  • Base salary ($40,000 – $55,000 depending on experience)
  • Additional performance-based compensation tied to new client acquisition and revenue growth
