JAC Digital Media is a boutique social media and content strategy agency based in Huntington Woods, MI. We work with clients across wellness, lifestyle, hospitality, finance, and home/renovation — helping them show up online in a way that's strategic, intentional, and actually converts. We're a small but mighty team that moves fast, thinks big, and genuinely loves what we do.

Our office is a fully furnished, dedicated workspace in a home-based studio — complete with a private business entrance, on-site parking, and a comfortable setup built for focused, collaborative work (with our office dog as a regular presence!).

We're looking for a Social Media Strategist who's ready to hit the ground running, take ownership of their work, and grow with us.

The Opportunity
This role is ideal for someone who is equal parts relationship-builder, marketer, strategist, and self-starter.

We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys meeting people, building connections, identifying opportunities, and helping businesses understand the value of strong marketing. While you'll assist with social media strategy and client success, a major focus of this role will be helping expand JAC Digital Media's presence through networking, referrals, partnerships, and new client acquisition.

What You'll Do

• Actively network within the local business community to build relationships and generate leads
• Represent JAC Digital Media at networking events, community events, business groups, and industry functions
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and referral relationships
• Help nurture leads through the sales process and support client onboarding
• Develop and execute social media strategies tailored to each client's goals and audience
• Write compelling copy for social media posts, captions, and blog content
• Manage community engagement across platforms (responding to comments, DMs, and fostering conversation)
• Build and maintain content calendars and keep projects on track
• Perform light video editing for Reels, TikToks, and other short-form content
• Pull and analyze performance reports and translate data into actionable insights
• Collaborate with our team on creative concepts and campaign planning

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of experience in social media strategy or a related role (agency experience is a plus)
• Strong copywriting skills — you know how to write for different brand voices
• Proficiency with social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook) and scheduling tools
• Comfortable with basic video editing (CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or similar)
• Experience pulling and interpreting analytics and reporting
• Extremely organized with strong attention to detail
• A self-starter mentality — you take initiative and follow through
• Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines simultaneously
• A team player who can also lead when needed

Compensation & Perks

• Starting pay: $20.50/hour for your first 90 days (onboarding & training period)
• After 90 days: pay increases to $21/hour, with potential to grow to $22/hour. If you do a good job, it will increase incrementally
• Commission opportunities of up to 25% on qualifying retainers, 10% of consulting and 10% on content days. As long as you are with JAC Digital and the client stays, you will get the retainer commission each month.
• 15 PTO days/year (inclusive of holidays) — prorated to 5 days for the remainder of 2026
• Hybrid schedule eligible after 90 days
