Role Overview

The Business Development Specialist is responsible for attracting new clients, growing existing accounts, and managing long-term client relationships within the recruitment sector. This role focuses on understanding client hiring needs, promoting recruitment solutions, and ensuring a high level of client satisfaction while driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, target, and attract new clients through networking, outreach, referrals, and market research
  • Develop and execute business development strategies to expand the client base
  • Conduct meetings and presentations to introduce recruitment services and value propositions
  • Prepare and negotiate proposals, contracts, and service agreements
  • Build and maintain strong, long term relationships with clients across various industries
  • Address client concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally
  • Identify opportunities to upsell or cross sell recruitment services
  • Support client retention through consistent communication and performance reviews
  • Track client satisfaction and implement improvements where needed
  • Stay informed on recruitment market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activity in the CRM system
  • Meet or exceed business development targets and KPIs

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, HR, or a related field
  • 1 2 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or account management
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship building skills
  • Client focused mindset with a consultative sales approach
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities effectively
  • Confidence in presenting services and influencing decision makers
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales tracking tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a recruitment agency or HR services environment
  • Knowledge of employment markets
