Business Development Specialist - Events

We are looking for a Business Development Specialist with 3 years of experience to join our team in the events and experiential industry. The ideal candidate will support the company's growth by identifying new business opportunities, particularly government and private sector tenders related to events, conferences, and exhibitions, and contribute to the preparation of competitive technical and commercial proposals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and identify opportunities related to events, conferences, and exhibitions through government procurement platforms such as Etimad and Forsah.
  • Review and analyze tender documents, RFPs, and RFQs to understand scope, requirements, and evaluation criteria.
  • Support the preparation of technical proposals for events, including event concepts, execution plans, visitor experience, and operational frameworks.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (production, operations, design, and finance) to develop comprehensive and competitive proposals.
  • Assist in preparing commercial proposals and cost estimates for event projects.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis within the events and experiential sector.
  • Manage the proposal timeline and ensure timely submission of bids and tenders.
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors, partners, and suppliers within the events ecosystem.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Event Management, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in business development, proposals, or bid management within the events, marketing, or exhibitions industry.
  • Familiarity with government procurement platforms (Etimad, Forsah) is preferred.
  • Experience in reviewing tender documents and preparing technical proposals.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Strong Analytical and Market Research skills, with the ability to gather and evaluate data to inform business decisions.
  • Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with both internal teams and external clients.
  • Proven expertise in Lead Generation to identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Customer Service skills, ensuring strong and lasting client relationships.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute plans aligned with business goals.
  • Proficiency in using CRM tools and other business software.
  • Previous experience in event-related roles is a strong advantage.
