Business Development (Upwork Bidding Specialist)

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and analyze daily project opportunities on Upwork (and other freelancing platforms when required).
  • Write tailored, high-quality proposals and cover letters that clearly address client requirements.
  • Manage client communications professionally, responding to queries and clarifying project details.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (design, development, marketing) to prepare accurate bids.
  • Maintain strong follow-up routines with potential clients to maximize conversion.
  • Track bidding performance, success ratio, and provide insights for continuous improvement.
  • Research international markets and suggest new approaches for client acquisition.
  • Keep CRM and project data updated with accurate records of leads and proposals.

Who Can Apply

  • 1–2 years of proven experience as an Upwork Bidder / Business Development Executive in IT services.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, IT, or a related field.
  • Excellent English communication skills (both written & spoken).
  • Strong proposal writing and client handling skills.
  • Ability to understand technical services and match them with client needs.
  • Familiarity with freelancing platforms like Upwork, Fiverr, Freelancer, LinkedIn.
  • Strong negotiation, sales, and closing skills.
