Role Overview
The
Business Head / Country Head – Egypt
will be responsible for establishing and growing CG’s FMCG business in the region. This role demands a commercially sharp, entrepreneurial leader with deep FMCG market exposure, strong P&L leadership, and proven experience in launching and expanding consumer brands in Egypt.
Key Responsibilities
Market Entry & Growth Strategy

Lead the establishment and expansion of CG’s FMCG business in Egypt.

Develop market entry plans, route-to-market strategies, and long-term commercial roadmaps.

Identify category opportunities within Foods, Beverages, Snacks, Personal Care, and other FMCG verticals.
Sales, Distribution & Channel Development

Build and manage a robust distribution network (modern trade, general trade, wholesale, HORECA, etc.).

Develop strong partnerships with distributors, retailers, and trade partners.

Drive GTM execution, trade marketing, and availability across priority channels.
Brand & Marketing Leadership

Partner with marketing teams to localize brand strategies for Egypt’s consumer landscape.

Oversee consumer activation, pricing strategy, promotions, and market penetration programs.

Monitor brand performance and competitive intelligence to optimize market share.
P&L & Operational Leadership

Full responsibility for Egypt P&L, financial sustainability, budgeting, and forecasting.

Oversee supply chain alignment, inventory planning, and demand forecasting.

Ensure compliance with Egyptian regulatory requirements in food and FMCG categories.
Team & Organizational Development

Build and lead high-performing commercial, operations, and support teams.

Foster a culture of performance, agility, and strong ownership.

Drive capability building, leadership development, and operational empowerment.
Stakeholder & External Relations

Represent CG with government bodies, industry associations, regulatory authorities, and key commercial partners.

Promote CG’s credibility and brand presence in the Egypt FMCG ecosystem.
Qualifications & Experience
-
15+ years of experience in FMCG, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles (Country Manager, Business Unit Head, Commercial Director, etc.).

Proven experience in launching or scaling FMCG brands in Egypt.

Strong expertise in sales, distribution, trade marketing, and category growth.

Demonstrated success in managing full P&L for a country or large business unit.

Deep understanding of Egypt’s FMCG consumer behavior, trade dynamics, and regulatory frameworks.

Excellent leadership, cross-functional management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
-
Master’s degree required.
