Business Intelligence Analyst

Our Corporate IT team has an opening for a Business Intelligence Analyst ! The Business Intelligence Analyst will transform data into clear, actionable insights by developing reliable reporting solutions and partnering with stakeholders to align business needs with data-driven strategies.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications, data models, and reporting solutions.
  • Facilitate discussions, workshops, and meetings to elicit requirements and define project scope.
  • Develop recommendations and data driven insights to support business decisions and process improvements.
  • Analyze current business processes, identify gaps, and propose optimization or automation opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain business intelligence reports from various data sources including ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision), Infor SyteLine, and other sources such as SQL Server, Access, and Excel.
  • Perform data analysis, validation, and impact assessments to ensure solutions meet business requirements.
  • Test and troubleshoot reports to ensure accuracy, maintain data integrity, and support ongoing quality control of delivered solutions.
  • Document business requirements, report logic, data definitions, and assumptions for transparency and future reference.
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets and present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Act as a liaison between business units and IT teams to ensure successful implementation of reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate that deliverables meet business expectations.
  • Provide technical assistance, knowledge sharing, and cross-training to other team members.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or reporting roles
  • Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, Power Query preferred)
  • SQL (query writing, joins, aggregations)
  • Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools
  • Familiarity with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Infor SyteLine
  • Experience with SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) or similar reporting platforms
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
