Job Overview
A major publisher seeks an attorney with writing/editing skills to draft, review, and revise practical guidance templates on Business documents. Review and update Proposal, agreements, and other business documents.

Fully remote position for one day or one week.

Requires a 5+ years practicing as Business Law Attorney. Must be a member of the Massachusetts bar.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Research and write clear, concise legal documents, articles, and content related to various areas of law.
• Edit and proofread legal documents for accuracy, grammar, punctuation, and adherence to style guidelines.
• Collaborate with attorneys to gather information and understand specific legal concepts for effective communication.
• Ensure all written materials comply with relevant laws and regulations.
• Maintain an organized system for tracking revisions and document versions.
• Stay updated on legal trends and developments in personal injury law, environmental law, tribal law regulations, securities law, patent law, and estate planning.
• Assist in the preparation of presentations or reports as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and background in Business law is preferred.
• Proven experience in writing and editing within a legal context or related field.
• Familiarity with personal injury law, environmental law, tribal law regulations, securities law, patent law, or estate planning is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Proficient in using word processing software and editing tools.
• Exceptional research skills to support writing tasks.
