Business Office Manager

Ideal prospective candidates:
At least 3 years business office experience (School setting preferred)
Multiple years’ experience utilizing QuickBooks (QB) enterprise
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
Understand all aspects of financial reporting
Embrace the importance of confidentiality
Work independently and meet deadlines
Enthusiastically look for operational efficiencies
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Own and maintain the FJA’s financial books, ensuring all financial numbers are
fully supported, reconciled, and properly classified across restricted and unrestricted funding sources.
o Lead month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
o Create and maintain supporting schedules
o Support budgeting, forecasting, and annual audit
o Operations & Process Improvement
o Oversee accounts payable / receivable and tuition management
o Implement new software and drive operational efficiencies
o Projects as assigned
Administrative and logistical support to HR
o Manage payroll, PTO, benefits, and HRIS
o Foster a positive relationship with staff
Community Engagement
o Serve as initial contact for tuition assistance and financial aid
Preferred knowledge
o FACTS Grant & Aid or other financial aid platform
o AvidXchange or other digital payment software
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in finance, business operations, or equivalent
o Master’s degree or CPA certification preferred
Extensive experience utilizing QB enterprise
Ability to set priorities and follow direction
Strong communication skills
Exceptional project management and execution skills and ability to think critically
Ability to work independently and within a team
Highest level of professionalism by demonstrating honesty, integrity, and maturity
General Requirements
A criminal history background check is required of all employees.
Federal law requires all employers to verify the identity and employment eligibility of all persons hired to work in the United States.

Compensation & Benefits
Starting salary: $70,000+ (commensurate with experience)
28 PTO days plus school holidays
