Business Office Manager / Medicaid Coordinator

Glengariff Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and highly organized Business Office Manager / Medicaid Coordinator to oversee financial operations and manage all Medicaid-related processes for our Skilled Nursing Facility. This role is essential in ensuring accurate billing, timely collections, regulatory compliance, and optimal financial outcomes for the facility and our residents.

Business Office Manager / Medicaid Coordinator Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of the Business Office, including billing, collections, accounts receivable, and resident trust accounts.

  • Oversee Medicaid applications, conversions, recertifications, and all communication with county and state agencies.

  • Conduct financial screenings to determine Medicaid eligibility and assist families throughout the application process.

  • Work closely with Admissions, Social Work, and Finance teams to ensure complete documentation and a smooth admissions process.

  • Review and reconcile census data, payer sources, and billing reports for accuracy.

  • Provide support and guidance to residents and families regarding financial responsibilities, required documentation, and payment options.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations related to billing, collections, and Medicaid.

  • Prepare monthly reports and assist with audits as needed.

  • Maintain accurate records and follow up promptly on all pending Medicaid cases.

  • Participate in leadership meetings and support the facility's financial goals.

Business Office Manager / Medicaid Coordinator Qualifications:

  • Previous Business Office Manager or Medicaid Coordinator experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility required.

  • Strong knowledge of Medicaid eligibility, MLTC/Managed Care, and long-term care billing processes.

  • Experience with Medicare, private insurance billing, and resident financials preferred.

  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.

  • High attention to detail with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

  • Proficiency in EMR and billing systems (e.g., PCC, MatrixCare) preferred.

  • Professional, dependable, and resident-centered work ethic.
