Business Operations Planner

Description:

This role is responsible for driving the core values and processes of Business Operations in the Americas Region for the LPA Business Unit

Responsibilities:

  • Strengthening the Business Operations function in the Americas region by promoting and using best practice processes and technology enablers and cultivating a continuous improvement mindset within the Team.
  • Actively participate in the Demand Reviews with Sales to produce the most accurate forecast.
  • Lead the monthly planning cycle to output a rolling 4-month production and raw material purchase plan.
  • Lead Capacity planning and inventory control processes across designated sites.
  • Support regional projects as required (e.g., inventory optimization and onboarding new assets or entities to the regional footprint).
  • Update and maintain LPA Monthly KPI and Dashboard data for the reporting cycle.
  • Link CS, Sales, and plants to support on-time order dispatch, supporting customer OTIF.
  • Achieve inventory targets for designated sites by resolving stock issue lines.
  • Advise and review appropriate planning parameters within the MPR item setup.
  • Actively participate and support the new IBP rollout.
  • Management of material flows to and from the North American sites
  • Support supply chain lane optimization initiatives depending on business needs.
  • Drive the SMOG process to minimize obsolete stock for defined assets.
  • Owns periodic updates of the SAP Planning parameters.
  • Interact with other regional and global Business Operations leads to manage intercompany flows.
  • Support Customer Service Team Lead, ensuring compliance with the defined flows, ways of working, and agreed processes.
  • Collaborate with the rest of the supply chain to drive improvement in metrics such as OTIF, Days of Inventory, and stock availability.

Must pass Department of Homeland Security background check and pre-placement physical and pre-employment drug-screen.

Requirements:

  • Experience with SAP in business operations - in particular, planning and inventory management
  • Supply planning
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Implementing business processes
  • Comfortable working in a cross-functional environment
  • Highly organized with solid time management and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office – strong Excel and data manipulation skills
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools is an advantage

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of supply planning experience
  • Strong knowledge of Supply Planning and Sales and Operations Planning
  • Knowledge of the Chemical Industry is an advantage
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
