How You’ll Work:
Location: Onsite-Amherst NY
Hours: Monday to Friday (8:30 am to 5:30 pm)
Compensation: Compensation: This pay scale represents a good faith estimate of the salary range the company reasonably expects to pay upon hire for this position: $62,355 – $66,560 per year. A final offer amount will depend on factors such as prior relevant experience, skills, and location.

JOB FAMILY SUMMARY:
Analyst professionals turn data into insight. They collect, analyze, and interpret information to help CRST make informed decisions, forecast trends, and improve operational and financial performance.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Business Performance Analyst supports CRST by producing accurate, timely reports and performance analysis that inform operational and business decisions. This role manages recurring and ad hoc reporting, tracks key performance indicators, and partners with cross-functional teams to develop standardized, automated solutions that drive efficiency and insight.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reporting and Analysis: Gather, analyze, and interpret datasets to identify trends, operational issues, and opportunities for improvement
- Report Production: Prepare various weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports to support informed decision-making by management and stakeholders
- Database Management: Maintain regular reporting processes and manage recurring database updates to ensure management receives timely, accurate business performance data
- Automated Reporting: Develop automated and standardized reports and dashboards for stakeholder use
- KPI Tracking: Track key performance indicators and additional metrics to monitor operational effectiveness
- Planning Support: Assist with ongoing planning and forecasting for designated business areas
- Process Improvement: Work with cross-functional teams to identify and introduce process enhancements and workflow improvements
- Systems Evaluation: Evaluate and support implementation of new systems or procedures to maximize efficiency
- Project Contribution: Lead or contribute to projects, ensuring goals are met within established timelines and requirements
- Presentations: Create reports and presentations for management that highlight findings and actionable recommendations
- Accountability and Reliability: Maintain regular and reliable attendance while performing other duties as assigned to support team and business needs
REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: Two or more years of experience in reporting, analytics, business analysis, or a related function
- Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to evaluate data, identify trends, and develop clear, actionable findings
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present data-driven findings to diverse stakeholders
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Physical Requirements: Work is performed in an office environment. Activities include sitting, standing, walking, lifting up to 20 pounds, using standard office equipment, and communicating with colleagues or customers. Reasonable accommodations may be provided
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: A four-year degree in business, analytics, finance, information systems, economics, or a related field
- BI Tools: Experience with Power BI or comparable business intelligence or data visualization platforms
- Statistical Knowledge: Familiarity with fundamental statistical principles, methodologies, and techniques
- Industry Experience: Background in transportation, logistics, or a comparable operations-intensive industry
