POSITION: Business Programs Specialist

JOB SUMMARY:
The Business Programs Specialist manages curation & execution of programs, special initiatives, and niche groups for the Chamber. The role creates relevant content, manages logistics, monitors budget & data, supports marketing & communications, and leads volunteers for a set of programs tailored to a business audience, including but not limited to, Excellence Exchange, Women in Business, Roundtables, and Peer Groups.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Plan and execute programs for the following Lancaster Chamber initiatives: Excellence Exchange, Multiple Roundtables/Peer Groups/niche group initiatives (HR, Non-Profit, Manufacturing, Women in Business):
- Strategize & create content relevant to program or initiative – both overarching program strategy, and at the individual program level – including sourcing and confirming speakers and panelists.
- Manage logistics for programs, including but not limited to procuring locations, catering, technology, etc.
- Facilitating and engaging with mid to large size audiences
- Support Marketing & Communications team with creative brainstorming and promotional tactics in relation to events and program responsibilities.
- Facilitates volunteer advisory groups and coordinates group involvement.
- Manage relationships with roundtables & peer group partners, through regular touchpoints to ensure programming is on track.
- Manage, record, and track important data points including attendance, participant satisfaction and feedback, and financial performance.
- Lead planning & execution of the Professional Women’s Forum event, as part of the Women in Business Program.
- Research, develop, and execute new programs to meet business community needs/interests as applicable
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:
- Plan and execute select networking programs & other relevant logistics for Events & Programs Team.
- Responsible for the location procurement & logistics for monthly mixers (10)
- Responsible for the location procurement & logistics for quarterly Consortium (in partnership with Public Policy Coordinator)
- Responsible for logistics for quarterly Get Connected program (in partnership with Membership Team)
- Respond to direct requests for assistance from customers and volunteers, provide customer service to internal and external customers

EDUCATION, TRAINING OR CERTIFICATION:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in program development and/or content creation
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to travel independently to and from events and programs
TECHNOLOGY SKILLS:
- Microsoft Office products – Proficient
- Chamber database, GrowthZone – Ability to become proficient
- Ability to use basic event technology like laptops, HDMI, projection, etc.
