Business Systems Analyst

Core Responsibilities

• Workflow Mapping & Optimization
• Analyze current business processes
• Identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks
• Redesign workflows for efficiency and scalability
• AppSheet Development
• Build, customize, and maintain apps in AppSheet (or other no-code platforms)
• Automate approvals, reporting, and data entry
• SOP Documentation
• Write clear step-by-step SOPs for each process
• Standardize formats and make them accessible to staff
• KPI Design & Monitoring
• Define measurable KPIs for departments/projects
• Build dashboards or reports for management
• Change Management
• Train employees on new workflows/apps
• Ensure adoption and continuous improvement

Skills Needed

• Process Mapping Tools (Lucidchart, Visio, Miro, BPMN notation)
• No-Code Platforms (AppSheet required, plus knowledge of Airtable, PowerApps, or Zoho Creator is a bonus)
• Project Management (Agile basics, Jira/Trello/ClickUp)
• Data Analysis & Reporting (Excel/Google Sheets advanced, BI dashboards helpful)
• Technical Writing (for SOPs)
• Change Management & Communication (to align staff and management)

Education & Background

• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or Operations Management
• Master’s is optional, not required
• Experience:
• 3–5 years in business process improvement, operations, or digital tools implementation
• Prior exposure to ERP/CRM systems is a plus
• Hands-on with AppSheet or similar platforms

Relevant Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt) → process efficiency
• Business Process Management (BPM) Certification
• Google AppSheet Certification (Google offers training)
• Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2, or Scrum Master) → nice-to-have, especially if senior
• Change Management Certification (PROSCI, ADKAR) → if role is transformation-focused
