Business Systems Analyst Entry

We are seeking a qualified Tableau Dashboard Developer / Business Analyst to develop new Tableau dashboards and manage, maintain, and enhance existing dashboards based on supervisory and business needs.

The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience creating Tableau dashboards using Microsoft SQL databases and other data sources. This role requires strong business analysis skills, requirements gathering experience, stakeholder communication, technical documentation, data analysis, dashboard maintenance, and report development experience.

This position is hybrid, with some onsite work and some remote work. The final onsite/remote schedule will be discussed with the hiring manager.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

• Developing new Tableau dashboards and managing, maintaining, and improving existing Tableau dashboards based on supervisor requests.
• Delivering high-quality dashboard work on time and in alignment with internal client expectations and supervisor standards.
• Meeting with internal clients and stakeholders to gather dashboard requirements, collect input, seek feedback, and provide project updates.
• Presenting dashboard drafts to stakeholders and incorporating feedback into final deliverables.
• Taking meeting notes, documenting decisions, creating next-step action plans, and tracking assigned tasks and progress according to supervisor instructions.
• Coordinating with IT teams, database teams, GIS teams, data source vendors, and other technical stakeholders to identify required data sources, tables, fields, and reporting requirements.
• Supporting data analysis, data visualization, dashboard maintenance, report development, process improvement, and workflow analysis.
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation, business requirements documentation, dashboard documentation, and project/task tracking materials.
• Managing assigned dashboard projects independently, including creating work plans, tracking deadlines, following through on deliverables, and communicating risks or issues.
• Maintaining strong ownership of assigned work and ensuring dashboards are accurate, user-friendly, and aligned with business needs.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must meet or exceed the following minimum requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience 5 years.
• Minimum 5 years of professional IT or related experience.
• Minimum 2 years of Business Analyst experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with business systems analysis and Tableau dashboard development.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with data analysis, data visualization, dashboard maintenance, and report development.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with requirements gathering, stakeholder communication, technical documentation, process improvement, and workflow analysis.
• Minimum 2 years of experience demonstrating strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Work Location and Schedule

• Work Arrangement: Hybrid
• Schedule: Full-time
• Onsite/Remote Schedule: Some onsite work and some remote work required. Final schedule will be discussed with the hiring manager.
