ABOUT THE POSITION
The Business Systems Supervisor leads a team of analysts responsible for defining business requirements, supporting enterprise applications, and ensuring systems meet operational needs. The role combines hands-on technical work with daily oversight of staff, including assigning tasks, reviewing work quality, and providing coaching and performance feedback. The Supervisor collaborates with business units, technical teams, and vendors to analyze processes, document requirements, and resolve application issues. This position supports the development of reports, dashboards, and low-code solutions that improve service delivery and enhance system functionality. The Supervisor ensures application configurations, user access, and data integrity are maintained in alignment with organizational standards. Work is performed with limited direction and has significant impact on service quality, system reliability, and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership: Supervise and develop business systems analysts by assigning work, monitoring performance, and providing coaching and training to ensure high-quality analysis, configuration, and support services.
  • Business requirements analysis: Lead the analysis of business processes and requirements, documenting functional specifications, workflows, and user interface mockups to support system enhancements and application design.
  • Application configuration & administration: Configure and administer enterprise applications by adjusting system settings, managing user roles and permissions, and maintaining configuration records to ensure secure and reliable system operation.
  • Application issue management: Identify, analyze, and resolve application issues by reviewing error logs, reproducing problems, and coordinating with vendors or internal technical teams to restore functionality and maintain service continuity.
  • Data & report development: Design and develop reports, dashboards, and data extracts using business intelligence tools and database queries to provide stakeholders with accurate, actionable information.
  • Project coordination & quality assurance: Coordinate and perform project tasks such as requirements gathering, testing, documentation, and low-code solution development to support successful implementation of new or enhanced systems.
  • Vendor & partner coordination: Coordinate work with internal and external service providers by communicating requirements, submitting support cases, and collaborating on issue resolution to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of applications and data.

THIS IS A TELEWORK ELIGIBLE OPPORTUNITY
This position may be eligible for full or partial telework following an initial training period and contingent upon the needs of the Court.

SELECTION REQUIREMENTS
To qualify, you must meet one of the following options at the time of application:

  • OPTION I:
    9+years' experience in business analysis, requirements definition and information technology support.
  • OPTION II: Associate’s degree* in information technology, computer science, management information systems, or related field; -AND- 7+ years' experience in business analysis, requirements definition and information technology support.
  • OPTION II: Bachelor’s degree* in information technology, computer science, management information systems, or related field; -AND- 5+ years' experience in business analysis, requirements definition and information technology support.
  • OPTION IV: Master’s degree* in information technology, computer science, management information systems, or related field; -AND- 3+ years' experience in business analysis, requirements definition and information technology support.

Note:
Credit for experience is given based on a 40-hour workweek. Part-time experience is credited on a part-time ratio (e.g., working 20 hours per week for two months equals one month of experience). Overtime does not count toward additional credit.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience supervising or mentoring business systems analysts, technical staff, or project team members in a hands-on, working-lead capacity.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather, document, and validate business requirements for complex applications, including creating functional specifications, workflows, and user interface mockups.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to build productive working relationships with stakeholders and translate business needs into actionable technical requirements.
  • Experience coordinating project tasks such as testing, documentation, requirements gathering, or data validation to support successful system implementations.
  • Skill in troubleshooting application issues by analyzing logs, reproducing errors, and coordinating with vendors or internal development teams.
  • Experience configuring and administering enterprise applications, including managing user roles, permissions, and system settings.
  • Knowledge of Agile or iterative development practices and experience participating in sprint activities such as backlog refinement, testing, or user story development.
  • Familiarity with low-code development platforms or scripting languages used to automate workflows or enhance system functionality.
  • Proficiency developing reports, dashboards, and data extracts using business intelligence tools, SQL queries, or similar technologies.
