Position Overview

The Busperson supports the restaurant and food & beverage teams by clearing and resetting tables, maintaining cleanliness, restocking supplies, and helping ensure smooth, efficient service. This role directly contributes to creating a welcoming and polished dining experience in a full-service hotel environment.

What Youll Do

Dining Room Support

• Clear tables quickly and professionally, removing plates, silverware, glassware, and debris.
• Reset tables with proper linens, utensils, glassware, and condiments according to hotel standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room, service stations, and surrounding areas.
• Assist servers during peak periods by delivering water, bread, condiments, and other items.

Guest Service & Experience

• Greet guests with courtesy and professionalism when interacting in the dining room.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and communicate needs to servers or supervisors.
• Assist in maintaining a welcoming dining environment by keeping tables and service areas clean and presentable.

Stocking & Preparation

• Restock service stations with silverware, napkins, plates, glasses, condiments, coffee supplies, and other necessary items.
• Maintain adequate levels of water pitchers, beverage supplies, and tableware throughout service.
• Support opening and closing duties including polishing silverware, preparing side stations, and organizing supplies.

Cleanliness & Safety

• Ensure dining area floors, counters, and surfaces are clean, sanitized, and hazard-free.
• Transport dirty dishes and utensils to dishwashing areas safely and efficiently.
• Follow all sanitation, hygiene, and safety guidelines, including proper handling of glassware and utensils.
• Report spills, hazards, or maintenance issues immediately.

Teamwork & Coordination

• Work closely with servers, hosts, kitchen staff, and supervisors to support seamless operations.
• Communicate any shortages or supply needs promptly.
• Assist in special dining events, breakfast service, room service support, or banquets as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities

• Perform other duties as assigned to support restaurant and hotel operations.
• Maintain reliable and consistent attendance as an essential function of the role.

What Youll Bring

Required Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Preferred Education & Experience

• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred.
• Full-service hotel dining experience preferred.
• Customer service or food service background preferred.

Required Skills and Abilities

• Strong communication and guest service skills.
• Ability to multitask and work quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move trays, dishes, and supplies safely.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow service standards.
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
• Professional appearance and courteous demeanor.
