Busser, Food Runner, and Host

In this dynamic role, you’ll serve as the vital link between the kitchen and the dining area, ensuring food is delivered promptly and accurately while providing exceptional guest service. As a host, you’ll warmly welcome guests, manage reservations, and maintain a lively, inviting atmosphere that keeps everyone excited to return. Duties

  • Deliver freshly prepared food from the kitchen to tables efficiently, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
  • Assist with food handling and preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen operations.
  • Greet guests with enthusiasm, manage reservations, and seat customers promptly to foster a welcoming environment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including bussing tables and resetting for new guests.
  • Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing and payments.
  • Support banquet service by assisting with large group setups and ensuring smooth service flow.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and guests to ensure seamless service delivery while upholding food safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food handling, safety procedures, and sanitation practices.
  • Experience with serving, bussing tables, and basic food preparation techniques.
  • Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor to engage with guests confidently.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Kitchen or culinary experience, hotel experience, or banquet experience are advantageous but not required.
