We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic Busser to join our team at Surf Point 360 at Anchorage by the Sea. This is a Part Time Seasonal (May - October) position located in Ogunquit, Maine. This role requires individuals who are detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to upholding our high standards of guest satisfaction, cleanliness, and service.


Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic Busser to join our team at Surf Point 360 at Anchorage by the Sea. This is a Part Time Seasonal (May - October) position located in Ogunquit, Maine. This role requires individuals who are detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to upholding our high standards of guest satisfaction, cleanliness, and service.


Work Performed

As a Busser, you will be responsible for ensuring that the dining room, lobby, and service area are clean, stocked and visually appealing. The right person for this Busser position will be a team player throughout the restaurant by assisting Servers in properly serving food and beverages while also clearing, cleaning and resetting tables for the next guests.

  • Clear plates, glasses, cutlery, and trash from tables once guests have left
  • Communicate with servers and managers regarding availability of tables, seating of large parties, or special requests made by our guests
  • Reset tables for next guests and take out trash as needed
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and alert servers or supervisors of any special needs or concerns
  • Assist with running food/drinks, if needed
  • Has knowledge of table numbers to run food and drink
  • Ensure all areas of the front of house areas are clean and properly sanitized
  • Perform duties as outlined in the training procedures, following standard operating procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management

Requirements

  • Skill and coordination when using hands to write, pour, and carry several drinks, plates, and bowls at the same time
  • Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced work environment while on your feet for 4-8 hours
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Possess good communication and organizational skills to work with a team
  • High school education or equivalent experience
  • Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods of time with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. limited/Pushing up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Maintains a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays Must be able to work onsite at the hotel location
  • Hours required: Part Time 20-30 hours per week for Mid;AM;PM;Must be flexible;Weekends;Holidays
  • Proficiency in the English language

Additional Preferred Skills/Qualities

  • Previous bussing/expo experience preferred
  • Second language is a plus, preferably Spanish or French

Compensation

$10 Hourly + Tips
