Butcher / Fish Cutter

Job Summary:

We are currently hiring an experienced and skilled Butcher / Fish Cutter for our operations in UAE. The ideal candidate should be capable of handling all types of meat and seafood processing tasks, including cutting, deboning, filleting, portioning, and maintaining hygiene and food safety standards. Prior experience in a similar role in the UAE or GCC is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cut, trim, debone, and portion all types of meat (beef, lamb, mutton, chicken, etc.)
• Clean, scale, gut, fillet, and portion various types of fish and seafood
• Ensure all meat and fish products are fresh and handled per UAE food safety regulations
• Operate and maintain cutting tools, knives, slicers, grinders, and other equipment
• Prepare customer orders and perform custom cuts as requested (if in a retail setting)
• Weigh, wrap, label, and display meat and fish items for sale or kitchen use
• Follow HACCP procedures, maintain proper storage, and ensure FIFO (First-In, First-Out) stock rotation
• Ensure workstations, tools, and equipment are cleaned and sanitized regularly
• Assist with receiving and inspecting deliveries of fresh meat and seafood
• Minimize waste and maintain quality standards in line with company policies

Requirements:

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a butcher and/or fish cutter, preferably in the UAE or GCC
• Strong knowledge of meat and seafood cuts, preparation, and handling
• Familiarity with Dubai Municipality food safety & hygiene standards
• Physically fit, able to work in chilled environments and lift heavy items
• Good knife handling and cutting skills
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Working Conditions:

• Work location: [Hypermarket / Hotel / Fish Market / Central Kitchen – Dubai]
• Shift-based schedule (morning/evening), 6-day work week
• Work involves standing for long hours and handling raw meat/seafood in cold environments
