Buyer

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Buyer to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the purchasing process, ensuring that materials and services are acquired at the best possible prices while maintaining quality standards. This role requires strong negotiation skills and a thorough understanding of supply chain management, as well as experience with various procurement systems.

Essential Functions:

· Troubleshoot material shortages and manage shortage reports.

· Place orders through our ERP System daily.

· Maintaining MIN/MAX and Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) levels of required and projected material.

· Confirm all purchase orders and update MRP system in timely manner.

· Establishes a network of franchised and non-franchised vendors, including factory direct, to obtain maximum material cost savings and return flexibility.

· Daily placement and expediting of all purchase orders for manufacturing material requirements.

· Works with vendors to establish competitive pricing for custom products.

· Works with vendors on Open Order Report to avoid late deliveries.

· Works with Supply Chain to ensure competitive pricing for franchised products.

· Responsible to maintain ERP System lead times and quotes.

· Responsible for inventory levels and Excess & Obsolete (E&O) resolution.

· Works with the Receiving department to solve receipt discrepancies.

· Works with other departments to resolve any open actions.

· Responsible to resolve all invoice discrepancies presented by Accounting.

· Develop new procurement strategies.

· This position requires the use of initiative and independent judgment.

· Familiar with Vendor Managed Inventory

· Reduce material costs and optimize transaction methodologies.

· Actively participate in cost reduction activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

· High school graduate or equivalent.

· Minimum of 4 years in Purchasing, required contract manufacturing experience.

· Excellent communication skills.

· Proficient knowledge of Microsoft windows and MS office, proficient in Excel.

Desired Skills

· Epicor software or any MRP driven manufacturing operation software.

· Knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures.

· Detail oriented

· Ability to multi-task within a fast-paced environment, under minimal supervision and a maintain a sense of urgency when meeting customer OTD

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 per year
