Job Summary
This position is responsible for inventory replenishment and coordinating purchasing activities related to procuring goods and services. This role involves a mix of strategic planning and operational executions to manage the supply chain and ensure the availability of inventory to support the company's operations. The primary duties of the buyer include developing a compelling and well-balanced purchasing plan while collaborating with the S&OP to make informed inventory and analytical decisions. In addition to managing purchase orders, this position will build strong relationships with vendors to ensure on-time delivery and avoid stockouts.
Duties:
- Develop and manage purchasing plans to ensure proper inventory levels are always maintained. Ensure that orders are timely and meet the company's production or operational requirements.
- Oversee the creation and execution of purchase orders, ensuring that machine, parts, & accessories are procured in alignment with the company’s production plan.
- Work closely with overseas factories to ensure on-time delivery, track cargo status, review commercial documents, and update purchase orders.
- Develop an efficient supply chain plan to procure required products effectively.
- Responsible for demand forecast production planning to replenish inventory and arrange delivery schedule to prevent stock out.
- Negotiate with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times, and shipping to secure the best price for products.
- Continuously monitor inventory and stocking levels. Address material/product shortages to all stakeholders that impact production or sales.
- Assist with various international or domestic logistics functions, including cargo tracking and local drayage.
- Develop and maintain a buying database and file order documents, keeping records of all international vendor products and providing regular updates on their status.
- Utilize Material Replenishment Planning (MRP) systems in place to ensure data accuracy and resolve issues as required.
- Maintain inventory levels to prevent stockouts, collaborate directly with suppliers to avoid lapses due to supplier and manufacturer stockouts.
- Participate in developing, implementing, and maintaining metrics and processes to ensure efficient purchasing operations consistent with lean practices and company policies.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Finance, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 4 years of previous international sourcing, purchasing operation, international supply chain management and import shipping.
- Experience with NetSuite or other ERP procurement modules required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) or related software.
- Continued education in supply chain management; APICS certification preferred.
- Process-oriented with demonstrated application of continuous improvement.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
