Buyer

We are seeking a Buyer / Purchasing Specialist to support production, new product introduction (NPI), supplier management, and purchasing operations. This role ensures on-time delivery, maintains procurement accuracy, and supports cross-functional teams across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Pull drawing packages for new quotes related to production and end-of-life components for assigned commodities.
• Manage procurement of raw materials for production and NPI products.
• Collaborate with teams such as Product Development, Engineering, Document Control, Planning, Incoming Quality Assurance, Shipping, Receiving, Warehouse, and Supplier Return (RTS).
• Oversee the RTS (Return to Supplier) process and ensure target timelines are met.
• Support timely resolution of invoice and payment issues.
• Escalate raw material issues promptly to management and sourcing teams to prevent or minimize supply disruptions.
• Support sourcing-led cost-saving initiatives while maintaining strong on-time delivery performance.
• Complete and maintain purchasing site compliance records, including required training actions.
• Maintain regular communication with suppliers regarding delivery updates and monthly forecast requirements.
• Train new buyers and provide ongoing support to the purchasing team.
• Support audits related to the purchasing function.
• Contribute to a collaborative, “one-team” culture across the site.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
