Position Summary
The Buyer will be responsible for managing the procurement of materials, components, and supplies to support production operations in a fast-paced window and door manufacturing environment. This position requires exceptional attention to detail, analytical capability, and proficiency in MRP systems to ensure material availability, cost effectiveness, and inventory accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
  • Execute material purchasing plans and manage supplier orders based on MRP
recommendations.
  • Analyze demand trends, usage history, and forecast data to optimize inventory levels
and minimize shortages or excess.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and purchasing data within the company’s ERP system
(preferably Fenevision).
  • Run and interpret procurement and inventory reports to identify issues, trends, or
opportunities for process improvement.
  • Collaborate closely with production planning, scheduling, and warehouse teams to
align material availability with production needs.
  • Track supplier performance, resolve discrepancies, and ensure on-time, in-full
deliveries.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain and purchasing
functions.

  • 5+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment; window and door
industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of MRP-based ERP systems, with preference for candidates
experienced in Fenevision.
  • Strong data analysis and reporting skills; proficiency in Excel and related reporting
tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of purchasing best practices and inventory control methods.
Work Environment
This is a full-time, on-site position based at our manufacturing facility. The role works
across departments and shifts and requires both office-based planning and plant-floor
engagement.
